Collaborative Whole-Person Approach to Nutrition and Self-Care

Hi, I'm Breanne

I’m Breanne Balser, RDN, LDN, MB-EAT-P, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in mindful eating practices and nutrition care.

I primarily support women who understand nutrition but struggle to care for themselves consistently because of stress, overwhelm, difficulty noticing body cues, or a pattern of putting everyone else’s needs first.

A cLIENT MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF THEY:

  • Delay, skip, or forget meals when working, stressed, or caring for others

  • Feel guilty when prioritizing nourishment, rest, or self-care

  • Have difficulty slowing down enough to eat or recognize their body’s needs

  • Repeatedly start and stop diets or rely on external food rules

  • Feel disconnected from hunger, fullness, satisfaction, or other body cues

  • Know what would support their health but struggle to follow through consistently

  • Need realistic nutrition habits that account for anxiety, perfectionism, caregiving demands, or a demanding schedule

  • Are ready to learn how to trust their body, and learn how to listen to it and give it what it needs

I Can Support Your Client With

My Approach

My approach integrates:

  • evidence-based nutrition counseling

  • mindful eating practices

  • self-compassion

  • practical habit support

all built on the foundation of nervous-system regulation.

I am nearing completion of my certification in the C.A.R.E. Eating Practice™ framework, a clinical framework for nutrition counseling that integrates nervous-system regulation and body awareness.

Depending on the client’s needs, our work may also address meal patterns, sleep, stress management, eating environment, and movement. We typically prioritize one or two areas at a time so change feels focused, realistic, and sustainable.

Breanne's approach is mindfulness-first and grounded in evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. Sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s needs, goals, and real life.

SCOPE oF CARE

Although chronic dieting and complicated relationships with food are often part of my work, I do not specialize in eating-disorder treatment. If eating-disorder concerns emerge or a client requires a higher level of specialized care, I support appropriate coordination or referral.

collaborative CARE

Nutrition and self-care patterns can be closely connected to trauma, ADHD, anxiety, perfectionism, caregiving demands, medical concerns, and beliefs about whether someone is allowed to prioritize their own needs.

With the client’s consent, I value collaborating with therapists, physicians, and other members of the care team. This allows us to compare observations, reinforce complementary goals, and support the client without working beyond our respective scopes.

Let's Talk About Working Together

If you’re wondering whether a client may be a good fit for my approach, you’re welcome to reach out.

You don’t need to have a formal referral prepared or know exactly what kind of nutrition support they need.Use this form to ask about fit, availability, services, or the referral process. Please do not include your client’s name or other protected health information in this general contact form.

I’ll respond within 1–2 business days. If working together seems appropriate, I can explain the scheduling, insurance and self-pay options, and next steps for helping your client connect with me.

Once your client has established care and provided written permission, I welcome collaboration and communication with members of their care team.
