I reached out for help with my eating habits, but I have healed so much more than that.

    Before working with Breanne, my life had been less than ideal, let's say. My mental health was almost always struggling, and because of that, I would turn to food for comfort. I would find myself overeating then starving myself because "I didn't deserve the food." I would hide what I was eating and lie to everyone about my actual eating habits. I would try those "lose 10lbs in 2 weeks" challenges and end up gaining more weight because of how restrictive and unrealistic they were, so I would binge, succumbing to all the food noise. After years of this, my physical health declined, and when my doctor told me that I was prediabetic, I knew I needed a fix, and that's when I looked for help.

    Working with Breanne has been different because 1. she's a professional, she knows what she's talking about and 2. She's extremely passionate about helping each of her patients get to the root of what they're struggling with and helping them heal that. In the past, I had the all in all out mindset cycle, if I messed up then it was game over and I'd quit. Then I would spiral and think "this time will be different" and it'd happen again and again.

    My life has shifted so gradually that if I don't stop and reflect, I wouldn't notice. My mental health has improved significantly since we started working together. I no longer have the food noise in my head all the time. I reached out for help with my eating habits and I have healed so much more than that. The food noise and the morality of food. It has lifted a weight off my mind since that has shifted for me. Food doesn't have morality, it's food. It sounds so simple but it changed everything for me. 

    It's okay to ask for help, real help. It's ok to prioritize yourself because in the end the better you take care of you the easier it is to be there for everything else. Reaching out for professional help has been the best decision of my life. The work we've done together has affected every aspect of my life in such a positive way. I was at a pretty low point in my life. I figured it couldn't hurt to reach out for help, and thank goodness I did.

    What's the most surprising is that the root of the struggle is usually not the food itself and that's what everyone focuses on. Take a look at the bigger picture, food is just a small fraction of the main issue.

She Helped My Mindset, Routines & Confidence — Not Just Eating

    Breanne is incredible!! Her approach is a truly holistic one -- I've felt the work we do have a positive impact on all parts of my life. Not only is she great with nutrition education (and makes it fun!), she has helped me with my mindset, habits, routine, and confidence. Breanne clearly is passionate about her work and determined to help her patients. She listens with a compassionate, non-judgmental, and intuitive ear, creating a space where you feel genuinely seen and understood. She just always seems to "get it" and I feel like I can go to her with anything. Not to mention, she provides her patients with so many cool resources to support progress beyond the appointment!

    When looking for a dietitian, I was overwhelmed by the number of dietitians available and if they would be a good fit for me personally. I am 100% confident in my choice of Breanne. She is incredibly knowledgeable, down to earth, easy to talk to, very understanding, says things I NEED to hear but might not WANT to hear, flexible within reason, makes you realize she is human too and to not always be so hard on yourself, and genuinely an amazing person AND dietitian.

    Taking time and funds to invest in yourself, your future and your health is sometimes scary but every moment I have spent working with Breanne on myself has been worth it. I have learned so much about myself in our process and can't wait to continue growing with her help.

    I thought working with a dietitian would be annoying and may not be for me, that it was all just nutrition and about food. I was so very wrong and honestly I'm glad I was wrong. The deep work we have been doing has been enlightening and is helping me to change my mindset and grow all around as a person-not just my nutrition habits.

   Working with a dietitian doesn't mean you have to be on a fad diet and give up all of your guilty pleasures, I'm learning that these unhealthy habits didn't develop overnight and never once have I felt like I need to quit them cold turkey overnight.

   Breanne has given me tools and techniques to reduce indulging in them, but not eliminating them-it's not realistic. I have been a huge pop/soda drinker and in just a few short months have gone from drinking only pop/soda in a day to drinking one or two and actually craving water. This is HUGE for me and I truly wouldn't be here without Breanne. She has definitely found her calling in life and I'm confident that every client that works with her can say the same.

Lower Triglycerides, Better Digestion & Real Confidence Around Food - I’m Truly Changed for the Better

    When I reached out for a dietician I was hoping to simply lose weight, lower my triglycerides, and eat more healthy food in the face of resistance from my family who don't really desire to eat healthier. I met Breanne who gently guided me to healthier food options while helping me to reduce my deep cravings for carbs. She also taught me how to curb between meal hunger without the wild swings in my hunger level. She also taught me to be kinder to myself and to celebrate the steps in the journey and not just the end goals. She turned me on to a single dietary enzyme capsule that completely how I can enjoy food now without the digestive issues I've struggled with since I was a teenager. Now my triglycerides are down almost 200 points and my overall cholesterol is down quite a bit as well. But my confidence in knowing i can enjoy food i have avoided and do so in moderation without the bloat and discomfort is so much more than I expected to get from a dietician. I'm actually looking forward to the holidays so I can exercise what I have learned in the face of holiday food and parties. Breanne also helped me to realize the type of exercise that I really enjoy instead of the stuff I'm being told is easy, trendy etc. She has taught me a lot about myself in a short period of time. I am truly changed for the better thanks to her and i know what i can do try to hit my goal of triple digits.
